Script Penned by “Black Rain’s” Warren Lewis & Cameron Romero
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 16, 2014 (LOS ANGELES, CA) Ret. Navy SEAL, Jason Cabell has joined filmmaker, G. Cameron Romero who signed agreements in January to co-write and direct “Kill Box,” written by legendary screenwriter, Warren Lewis (“Black Rain,” “The Thirteenth Warrior”); the film is based on an original story by Lewis. Production is set to begin in the late Spring of 2014 with Adrian Pruett behind the lens as cinematographer.
“Having someone like him [Cabell] join the ranks of “Kill Box” brings a new level of intensity to the project through his real world experiences and unique point-of-view on films in the action/thriller genre” Romero said. “His tactical knowledge and approach to the action of it all brings an edge to a film like this one [“Kill Box”] that is going to make for an explosive experience on screen,” he added.
“Kill Box” is a tale of misplaced revenge that will have every member of the audience peeking around corners every time they walk down the street after seeing the film. Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles, the City of Angels is the perfect playground for two former Spec-Ops guys to have a showdown to end all showdowns when the stakes are raised to a personal level. In the spirit of films like “Enemy at the Gates” and “Die Hard”, “Kill Box” is sure keep audiences stuck in fray with the main characters.
A legacy in the film industry, Romero has been conceived and directed over one hundred commercials for global brands and has been producing and directing feature films for the last decade. Romero’s independent credits include “Staunton Hill,” “The Screening” and “Radical.”
